The BiSL Foundation training was introduced to ensure that a candidate becomes acquainted with Business Information Services Library (BISL) in a short time. By following the BiSL Foundation you ensure a good connection between ICT and the business process. This while for many the connection with domains such as Application Management and Technical Management is unclear.
After completing this two-day BiSL Foundation course you will be able to articulate the context of the BiSL framework and you will know the mutual relationships between functional, application and technical management (BiSL, ASL and ITIL). Through the BiSL training you therefore gain insight into the BiSL framework and the internal coherence of the processes.
In short, the aim of the training is to convey a good understanding of the domain 'Business information management' and the role that the BiSL framework plays in this; preparation for the official BiSL Foundation exam of APMG.
After following the BiSL training, take care of this indirectly;
The BiSL framework, which is extensively discussed during the BISL Foundation, has 3 different levels. These are the steering level, the executive level and the strategic level as visible in the BiSL overview that is given during the training.
This knowledge can be perfectly combined with that of ITIL 4 Foundation and / or ASL Foundation, but also with Agile Scrum as in this blog can be read.
If you are looking for an alternative, we recommend the BIM Foundation (BIMF) workout on.

A new version of the BISL Foundation exam has been released in 2020, you can read more information in our blog about combining BiSL® and Agile Scrum, how does that fit (best)?
