The BiSL Practitioner training course was introduced to ensure that candidates quickly become familiar with the Business Information Services Library (BiSL) and also learn how to apply this framework practically within an organization. By taking the BiSL Practitioner course, you ensure a strong connection between IT and business processes, while many people find the connection with domains such as application management and technical administration unclear.
After completing this two-day BiSL Practitioner course, you'll be able to articulate the context of the BiSL framework and apply the interrelationships between functional management, application management, and technical management (BiSL, ASL, and ITIL) in practice. The BiSL Practitioner training will provide you with insight into the BiSL framework, the internal coherence of its processes, and how they are implemented.
In short, the goal of the training is to provide a solid understanding of the domain of "Business Information Management" and the role the BiSL framework plays within it, as well as preparation for the official BiSL Practitioner exam offered by Van Haren Publishing BV / KNVI Open Standards Interest Group.
After completing the BiSL Practitioner training, this indirectly ensures:
The BiSL framework, which is discussed in detail during the BiSL Practitioner course, has three different levels: the management level, the operational level, and the strategic level, as illustrated in the BiSL overview provided during the training.
This knowledge can be perfectly combined with that of ITIL 4 Foundation and/or ASL Foundation, but also with Agile Scrum, as can be read in this blog.
