The goal of the PM2 Foundation course is to enable project managers to deliver solutions and benefits to their organizations by effectively managing the entire lifecycle of their projects. PM² incorporates elements from a wide range of globally accepted project management best practices. It has been adopted as the official project management methodology by many EU institutions.

The PM² certification qualification is aimed at project managers and aspiring project managers. It is also relevant to other key personnel involved in the design, development and delivery of projects, including project board members (e.g. senior accountable owners), team managers (e.g. product delivery managers), project assurance (e.g. business change analysts), project support (e.g. project and program office staff) and operational line managers/staff.
